Association of New Orleans (IANO) is a non-profit, secular, civic, charitable and cultural organization established in 1966 to serve the Indian American community in Greater New Orleans and vicinity. Our mission is to provide opportunities and a positive environment to the community to fulfill its needs and aspirations for social and cultural interaction; and to help raise understanding and awareness of Indian traditions and cultural heritage, particularly among younger generation. IANO also promotes understanding and assimilation with American society and organizations by encouraging a spirit of volunteerism among its members.
